Arsenal are reportedly closing in on a £35m deal to sign Turkey defender Caglar Soyuncu from German club Freiburg.
The Sun have picked up on Turkish media reports that Arsenal’s head of recruitment Sven Mislintat is keen for the Gunners to sign the 22-year-old.
It comes after Soyuncu’s agent Mustafa Dogru told Turkish Football: “Mislintat has been keen on Caglar since he (Mislintat) was at Borussia Dortmund.
“He first scouted him back in Germany. Sven is interested in Caglar, there are concrete talks, all that remains if for a free to be agreed. We will see what happens next.”
Meanwhile, Barcelona’s Jasper Cillessen is the latest goalkeeper to be linked with Chelsea.
The Mail have picked up on a story by Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo claiming that the Blues and Liverpool are both interested in the 29-year-old Netherlands international.
Cillessen, whose contract runs until 2021, is said to be considering his future because of limited game time at Barca, whose first-choice keeper is Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
And Paris St-Germain continue to be linked with Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante.
The Sun have picked up on a story by French publication Paris United, which claimed Kante’s agent has met with PSG officials, renewing speculation that they could move for the midfielder.
