The Daily Mail say Watford are ready to ditch their pursuit of Kieran Gibbs because of Arsenal’s valuation of the left-back.

The Gunners reportedly want £16m for Gibbs, who has been tipped to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer.

The Mail say new Hornets boss Marco Silva wants the player but that the club are refusing to match Arsenal’s asking price.

Meanwhile, the Daily Star say Chelsea are ready to offer Arsenal £35m for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Tottenham have targeted Ajax’s Colombia international defender Davinson Sanchez, The Sun say.

The newspaper reports that the 21-year-old is also wanted by Chelsea and Crystal Palace as well as Barcelona but that Spurs believe they are in pole position to sign him.

The Sun suggest Spurs are prepared to pay Ajax £35m for Sanchez, who is well known to Palace’s Dutch boss Frank de Boer.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will first test Ajax with a bid of £25m, The Sun say.

The Daily Telegraph say Tottenham are reluctant to pay more than £25m for Everton’s Ross Barkley even though they face serious competition from Chelsea, who apparently want the England international.

And the Mail say Spurs are close to completing the signing of goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga from Southampton and that West Ham are launching a £25m bid for Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho.
