Arsenal are among clubs being linked with highly-rated Hertha Berlin youngster Arne Maier.
The Sunday Mirror say the Gunners and Manchester United have been joined by Italian side Juventus in a battle to sign the 19-year-old.
Maier, an Under-21 international, has been described in Germany as their new Toni Kroos.
Meanwhile, the Sunday Express claim Tottenham remain interested in Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish.
Spurs were tipped to sign Grealish during the recent transfer window but could not agree a fee and the Championship club were then financially transformed by a takeover.
The Sunday Express say Grealish is set to sign a new contract at Villa but that Spurs remain keen and the new deal will include a £60m release clause.
The Sunday Express also say Tottenham have joined a number of clubs in showing an interest in Ajax forward David Neves.
Chelsea are monitoring Reading’s England Under-19 forward Danny Loader, according to the Sunday Mirror.
And The Sun on Sunday say West Ham are trying to tie Declan Rice to a new contract and that Fulham are preparing a bid for Lyon forward Maxwel Cornet.
It is claimed that Fulham plan to open talks with Lyon soon over a potential deal to sign Cornet next summer.
