Paper round-up: Sanchez made new offer by Arsenal, Mail say

Arsenal have made another offer to Alexis Sanchez in an attempt to keep him at the Emirates Stadium, the Daily Mail say.

Bayern Munich are reportedly pursuing a deal to sign the Chilean forward, whose Gunners contract is due to expire next year.

The Mail believe Arsenal have offered him around £270,000 a week.

Sanchez is reported to be demanding £300,000 a week but the Mail say Arsenal’s offer is loaded with incentives and is therefore worth close to the amount he wants.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror say Everton will consider offers for Ross Barkley, with Tottenham again said to be interested in the England midfielder.

Everton have not been able to agree a new deal with Barkley, whose contract is due to expire next year.

He is reported to be demanding £100,000 a week and the Mirror say Everton accept he will not commit his future to them, but that the club want £50m for him.

The Mirror say Spurs and Manchester United are keen but that the supposed asking price could be a stumbling block.

And West Ham want Manchester United’s England defender Chris Smalling, according to The Sun.

West Bromwich Albion are also said to be interested in Smalling amid speculation over his future.

There have been reports that United boss Jose Mourinho could be willing to sell Smalling this summer.
