Sam Allardyce is angry with Wilfried Zaha over his African Nations Cup call-up and is considering selling him for £30m, The Sun claim.
The Sun say Tottenham are keen to sign the Crystal Palace winger, who has been named in the Ivory Coast’s provisional squad for the tournament in Gabon.
Zaha, 24, is due to travel to Abu Dhabi for a training camp after Palace’s vital match against fellow strugglers Swansea on Tuesday.
Allardyce, who recently took over as Palace boss, could be without him for more than a month
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has considered making a £30m bid in next month’s transfer window, The Sun say.
Zaha has two England caps but as both came in friendlies he is now eligible to play for the Ivory Coast, who are currently without former Arsenal man Gervinho.
Ivory Coast boss Michel Dussuyer is quoted as saying: “Gervinho’s absence weighs down on us. But we have had several weeks to get used to the idea.
“The arrival of Zaha is great news. His profile is similar to Gervinho’s.
“One of the challenges facing us in camp will be that some of the players will be rested and others — those playing in England — will be tired and in need of some rest.”
