Watford v Tottenham: Spurs duo ruled out, Hornets star could return

Tottenham will be without captain Hugo Lloris at Watford on Sunday, while Erik Lamela (hamstring) will be assessed.

Goalkeeper Lloris, who is facing a drink-driving charge, has a thigh injury and will be joined on the sidelines by Moussa Dembele (hamstring).

Victor Wanyama (knee) is back in full training, while Son Heung-min is still away on international duty with South Korea at the Asian Games.

Provisional squad: Vorm, Gazzaniga, Trippier, Walker-Peters, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Sanchez, Davies, Dier, Dembele, Eriksen, Alli, Lamela, Winks, Moura, Llorente, Kane.

Gerard Deulofeu is back in training and could even feature for Watford.

The former Barcelona star has been battling a groin strain but is now closing in on a return to action.

Miguel Britos has shaken off a knock, leaving Tom Cleverley with Achilles trouble Watford’s only long-term absentee.
