Many Tottenham fans on Twitter have reacted with a mixture of anger and bemusement to reports of a contract dispute between the club and star striker Harry Kane.
The Sun claimed on Monday that talks with Kane had been shelved, with the striker apparently concerned that his loyalty was not reflected in the terms on the table.
Some Spurs supporters laid the blame at chairman Daniel Levy and called for the club’s wage structure to be broken in order to keep Kane at the club.
@HKane could go to City or United and earn 3 times what he’s earning at our place!!!!! Levy needs to sort it out #coys

Typical Levy- won’t pay out for Kane’s wages to match Moussa Sissoko’s!
Kane deserves everything he asks for. #COYS #THFC

If #Sissoko gets £95K per week so should #Kane, no question about it. #THFC

It’ll be scandalous if we don’t give Harry a major pay rise #COYS #THFC

But others backed Levy (pictured below) to do the right thing if the impasse continued.
Kane represents everything this young Spurs side stands for under Pochettino, Levy not stupid enough to undervalue his worth to club.#THFC

Is there anyone who actually believes Daniel Levy wouldn’t do anything and everything to keep hold of the current symbol of the club?
