Young defender Connor Ogilvie has signed a new contract at Tottenham and has joined League One club Gillingham on loan.
The versatile Ogilvie, 21, has signed a two-year deal with Spurs, who have loaned him to the Gills until January.
The former England Under-16 and Under-17 international, who can play as a left-back or as a central defender, already has some first-team experience, having previously been on loan at Stevenage Borough.
“I can’t wait to get started to be honest,” he told Gillingham’s website.
“I’m looking forward to it and I want to be playing games regularly and hopefully I can get that here and push on.”
Gills boss Ady Pennock said: “I’m really pleased to secure Connor’s signature.
“He’s got pedigree having come through the youth ranks at Tottenham and what is an added bonus for us is that he has experience of playing league football.
“He can play in the centre or on the left so he certainly gives us options.”
The loan move went through in time for Ogilvie to be available for Gillingham’s pre-season friendly against non-League Faversham on Friday evening.
He had two spells on loan at Stevenage, making a total of 42 appearances for them.
