Paper round-up: Tottenham tipped to beat Arsenal to signing of former Liverpool man

Tottenham are set to beat rivals Arsenal to the signing of AC Milan midfielder Suso, according to the Daily Mirror.

Both north London clubs have been linked with the former Liverpool man, who has been tipped to leave Milan this summer.

The Mirror say Spurs are “ready to re-ignite their interest” in Suso and are keener than Arsenal to get a deal done.

The newspaper reckon Suso, 25, will cost £35m and that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino wants to bring him back to the Premier League.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail say Son Heung-min is set to be rewarded for his brilliant form for Tottenham with a new contract.

The story claims that Son, who signed a five-year contract in July, is set to be offered a second pay rise in 12 months and will be paid £150,000 a week by the club.

The Sun say Chelsea players are unhappy that Gary Cahill has been shunned by boss Maurizio Sarri and want the defender to be brought back into the fold.

The Sun also say John Terry advised West Ham star Declan Rice to switch his international allegiance from the Republic of Ireland to England.

Former Chelsea and England captain Terry is said to have struck up a close friendship with Rice and told him he should play for the country of his birth.

It was confirmed on Thursday that Rice, who has played for the Republic in friendly matches, has decided he now wants to play for England.
