There continues to be speculation over the futures of a number of Tottenham players.
They include Danny Rose, who has long been linked with a move away from Spurs.
The England left-back has caused a stir by saying he will see out the remaining 18 months of his contract before moving on.
And the Daily Star say Tottenham fear Christian Eriksen, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld will similarly opt to simply run down the rest of their contracts and then leave on free transfers when their deals expire next summer.
Eriksen has been linked with several clubs, including Manchester United, who have also been linked with defender Alderweireld.
Neither player looks likely to sign a new contract at Spurs, who face losing them for no fee unless they can get them to sign deals or the club are able to cash in when the transfer window reopens in January.
Rose, though, has made it clear that he intends to stay put for the time being at least.
He said: My contract is up in 18 months’ time and I’ll leave the football club then. People can save their time trying to get stuff ready for January about me being sold.
“Because I can tell you now: it ain’t happening. I know what people were trying to do in the summer… There were no bids — that was rubbish.”
