Tottenham have been offered the chance to sign Gareth Bale for a knockdown price next summer and take Christian Eriksen back to north London, according to reports.
Midfielder Eriksen has failed to impress since joining Inter Milan from Spurs in January and reports in his native Denmark have suggested that he could leave the San Siro when the transfer window reopens in January.
Inter were reportedly willing to send him out on loan during the previous transfer window and will apparently look to do so again later in the campaign.
And Football Insider claim Eriksen could head back to Tottenham on loan for the second part of the season.
Eriksen’s form was poor in the months prior to his departure from Spurs – perhaps because of the uncertainty over his future – and it remains to be seen whether they would be interested in taking him back if a deal could be done.
Bale is of course already back at Spurs on loan, having arrived from Real Madrid on a season-long deal.
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo suggest Real would be willing to let Bale move on a permanent basis at the end of the season for as little as €15m euros ( around £13.4m).
