Tottenham reached the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup by beating Newcastle 5-3 in an extraordinary game at St James’ Park.
Spurs were 2-0 up at half-time after goals from Reo Griffiths and eventually prevailed after an action-packed finale which produced four goals in the last seven minutes of the game.
Kazaiah Sterling, Japhet Tanganga and Dylan Duncan scored second-half goals for Tottenham, who will face holders Chelsea for a place in the final.
Sterling made it 3-1 shortly after the hour mark, after Lewis McNall had pulled a goal back for Newcastle with a penalty.
McNall scored again on 83 minutes and Tanganga appeared to make the game safe for the visitors when he netted three minutes later.
Again the hosts pulled a goal back, this time courtesy of Owen Gallacher, but Duncan sealed the victory with a curling strike in injury time.
