Jose Mourinho felt Tottenham lacked sharpness and looked tired in their 0-0 draw at Bournemouth.
Boss Mourinho made changes in midfield in an attempt to freshen things up, bringing Steven Bergwijn and Erik Lamela into the starting line-up against the Cherries, with Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura on the bench.
But his side struggled to create clear-cut chances and had to settle for a point.
“We were not sharp enough. One thing is a lack of attitude and another thing is lack of sharpness,” Mourinho said at his post-match press conference.
“It was not a lack of attitude at all. I felt that some of the boys were really tired.
“I made a couple of changes, especially in midfield because I felt some of the the boys there were really in trouble by playing two days before.
“In attacking areas we lack a little bit of sharpness. It’s quite frustrating but that’s the way it is.”
Mourinho’s focus now turns to the North London derby against Arsenal.
And he suggested that the Gunners will have an unfair advantage after having a longer gap in between matches.
“Arsenal rested for 48 hours. It’s not even 24. It’s 48,” he said.
“One team plays on Tuesday, another team plays on Thursday. Magnificent. Magnificent way to promote such an important London derby in the Premier League.”
