Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed he will make more changes following the last-gasp defeat to Inter Milan this week.

The Champions League loss was Spurs’ third consecutive defeat and Pochettino plans to roll the dice again for this weekend’s game against Brighton.

He said at a press conference: “Yes. It’s the plan. We have a plan, and then you win or lose but the plan is to help the players to arrive in some moments in their best.

“I told you before the start of the season it is a massive challenge this season because the circumstances are different to the past.

“When you lose it’s the same, when you win or lose you need to have a plan and try to deliver it. You cannot change because you win or lose. That is the most important thing.

“If you are strong in the end you are going to have success. If you change it is difficult to have success because you cannot work day by day.”

Spurs will assess Dele Alli, who has returned to training following a hamstring problem.

Pochettino insists, however, that he will take no chances with the England international’s fitness.
