Tottenham fans on Twitter have been hailing Harry Winks after the youngster scored on his full Premier League debut in the 3-2 win over West Ham.
Although Harry Kane’s two late goals completed the turnaround, it did not overshadow the performance of 20-year-old Winks, who netted the first equaliser and generally impressed with his performance.
Many Spurs supporters were excited about Winks’ potential, and he was even compared to ex-Tottenham man Luka Modric and former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes.
Winks: Not making a 'quality' comparison but in terms of awareness, positioning, style, & vision the player he recalls is Modric #COYS #THFC

This is crazy but I'm gonna say it – something a little Scholes-y about Harry Winks. Plus, he can tackle 😉 #coys #thfc #postwintintedlogic

Harry Winks was the best player on the pitch. The one player who looked forward and wanted to attack, deserved his chance and goal? #thfc
