Mauricio Pochettino is confident Tottenham will make more signings ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Spurs recently completed a deal to sign defender Davinson Sanchez from Ajax and are keen to add more players to their squad before the window closes.
Asked if he believes new signings are on the way, manager Pochettino said: “Yes, in the positions we need to strengthen.
“I’m sure we will add some players that help us in the future and I am optimistic.”
The Argentine was speaking at a post-match press conference following his team’s 1-1 draw with Burnley at Wembley.
Chris Wood’s late equaliser for the Clarets continued Spurs’ poor record at their temporary home.
And Harry Kane missed a number of chances for them – the England striker is yet to score this season.
But Pochettino backed Kane, saying: “He’s a player that works hard, his commitment is there and he’s been a little bit unlucky. I feel sorry for him.
“He had opportunities to score, and a striker always needs to be lucky. I’m sure Harry will start to score as soon as possible, I’ve no doubt about that.”
But he also admitted: “We need to find our balance. Still the team is showing a lack of concentration in difficult situations.”
