Liverpool have been linked with a surprise deadline day move for Tottenham goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga.
The Reds’ first-choice keeper Alisson will be out for up to six weeks with injury, with his stand-in Adrian unconvincing in shipping seven in the champions’ sensational defeat at Aston Villa on Sunday.
Liverpool are said to have made contact with Spurs to try and get a deal through before 11pm when the window closes.
The Liverpool Echo are among those suggesting that the Reds are interested.
The 28-year-old impressed last season when called up to replace the injured Hugo Lloris, making 18 Premier League starts and four appearances in Tottenham’s Champions League campaign.
But the Argentine stopper, who joined Tottenham from Premier League rivals Southampton in 2017, has found himself on the fringes this season following the return of Lloris and the signing of former Manchester City and England keeper Joe Hart.
Meanwhile, Antonio Rudiger is discussing a loan move to AC Milan.
Tottenham have expressed an interest in the defender, who is expected to leave Chelsea ahead of today’s transfer deadline.
Rudiger, whose Chelsea contract runs until 2022, is reportedly discussing a potential season-long loan to Milan.
Paris St-Germain have also been linked with the Germany international, who has recently been left out of the Chelsea side by Blues boss Frank Lampard.
