Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has reportedly told manager Mauricio Pochettino he will have more money to spend after agreeing a new shirt sponsorship deal.
The deal with AIA is said to be worth around £320m, paving the way for Pochettino to make more signings ahead of next month’s transfer deadline.
Levy announced that the club had extended its contract with the insurance firm until 2027.
And The Times reports that a large chunk of the money could go on Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, with Spurs ready to offer around £80m for the Argentina international.
Levy recently sanctioned the £64m club-record signing of midfielder Tanguy Ndombélé from Lyon and appears to be ready to spend more.
“Our view is wherever we can we will improve the team,” Levy said.
“We’ve met the priority of building the stadium and our training facilities and now it’s our job to continue to find ways to not only improve the commercial aspects of the club but also the football side and continue to be a success.
“We have embarked in recent years on two very major capital projects, which I think in the long term will be of great benefit to the club.”
However, reports in Italy suggest Juventus are looking for more than £80m for Dybala, who has long been linked with a potential move to the Premier League.
