Kane’s perfect set – the stats behind Tottenham star’s remarkable goals record

Harry Kane’s goal against Cardiff on New Year’s Day means he has now scored against all 28 opponents he has faced in the Premier League.

Kane had failed to find the net in three previous outings against the Bluebirds, making them unique among top-flight clubs.

But barely two minutes in at Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday, he made it a full house when Sean Morrison’s clearance rebounded in off his knee to set Spurs on their way to a 3-0 win.

Here are at some of the statistics behind Kane’s record.

– Leicester are Kane’s favourite opponents, with 11 of his 122 Premier League goals coming against the Foxes.

– He has nine against both Everton and Stoke, eight against rivals Arsenal and seven against Bournemouth, Southampton, West Brom and West Ham.

– He now has 13 goals in his last 14 appearances against newly-promoted clubs, stretching back to February 2017.

– Kane has technically scored Premier League goals against 29 clubs, including Spurs themselves, due to his own goals in May 2014’s loss to West Ham and October 2015’s draw with Swansea.

– Former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard holds the record for scoring against the most different Premier League opponents, 39.
