Harry Kane has signed a new long-term contract at Tottenham.
The England striker’s new deal replaces the five-year agreement he signed in February this year and means he is now under contract at White Hart Lane until the summer of 2022.
The Press Association has reported that Kane, 23, will be paid a basic wage of £80,000 a week but could earn up to £120,000 a week if performance-related targets are met.
It comes after speculation about Kane’s future amid reports that contract talks with the club had been put on hold.
It was claimed that Chelsea and Manchester United were monitoring developments.
“Everyone knows how much I love this team and how I feel about this club and to sign another contract is a special feeling,” Kane told Tottenham’s website.
“We’ve got a great, young squad, the club is moving in the right direction and I had no hesitation in signing.
“I want to be a top striker year in, year out, scoring goals and I know I have to work hard every year to maintain that.
“I’m learning every day and I’ll continue to do that for the rest of this season and the rest of my career.”
