On-loan Tottenham youngster Luke Amos could be back in action for QPR by next weekend.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen for Amos to get first-team experience after a season on the sidelines with a knee injury.
He has missed the last couple of games but Rangers manager Mark Warburton is hoping to have Amos back in his squad for Saturday’s home game against Blackburn
Warburton told West London Sport: “He took a knock when he came on in the previous home game and is being managed now.
“We have got two games this week, on Wednesday and Saturday, and then we have got the international break. We will see if we can get him ready for Saturday.”
Warburton saw his side beaten 2-0 at home by West Brom on Saturday.
It came after a run of four straight wins – but the R’s boss hit back at a suggestion that they had been given an education by the Baggies.
He said: “What do you mean it’s an education? Maybe their budget is multiples of ours and the expectations are there, but we’ve shown in recent weeks that we can go home and away and play good football and hurt teams.
“Up to last week we had the second-most chances created. So I think we’ve earned the right to be shown some respect and if teams don’t show us respect we’ll hurt them.”
