Paper round-up: Dutch midfielder and Aston Villa star among four Tottenham targets

The Mail on Sunday say Tottenham have joined a race to sign Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek, who scored against them in the Champions League this week.

Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich are also said to be chasing the Netherlands international, who the Mail on Sunday say has been identified by Spurs as a possible replacement for Christian Eriksen.

The newspaper claim Spurs’ relationship with Ajax – they signed Eriksen, Jan Vertonghen and Davison Sanchez from them – means they “will be in prime position to sign him for £45million” this summer.

Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish, Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha and Ryan Sessegnon of Fulham are also said to be targets for Spurs.

Grealish has a £60m release clause in his Villa contract, according to the Sunday Mirror.

Meanwhile, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has been assured he will be given money to spend, The Sun on Sunday say.

Arsenal are looking to buy British players this summer and Zaha is among their targets, also according to The Sun on Sunday.

Zaha has been linked with a number of clubs after an excellent season for Palace, who are determined to keep him.

The Sun on Sunday say he is on Arsenal’s radar but that Gunners boss Unai Emery could have to work to a limited budget.

Barcelona are planning a £70m move for Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette, the Sunday Express claim.

Chelsea agreed last year to let Eden Hazard leave this summer if he stayed another season at Stamford Bridge, according to The Sun on Sunday.

And Fulham are keen on Bristol City manager Lee Johnson, the Daily Star Sunday reports.
