Tottenham linked with Blades keeper Ramsdale

Tottenham are reportedly interested in Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

Wolves are also said to be keen on Ramsdale, who has been touted for a move following the Blades’ relegation from the Premier League.

The Daily Mail say he has been identified as a possible replacement for Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris.

Frenchman Lloris has a year remaining on his contract and has been heavily linked with a move to Paris St-Germain, where he would be reunited with former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Meanwhile, reports continue to suggest Paulo Fonseca is reportedly on the verge of taking over as Tottenham boss.

Fonseca was replaced at Roma by Jose Mourinho, who was sacked as Spurs manager two months ago.

Spurs have turned to him after other attempts to install a successor to Mourinho came to nothing.

Talks with Antonio Conte broke down, while hopes of a return for Mauricio Pochettino from Paris St-Germain were crushed.

According to reports in Italy, Fonseca is set to sign a three-year contract. He appears to have been chosen by incoming director of football Fabio Paratici.

Fonseca is not the man many Spurs fans will have been thinking of as the ideal new manager – and that has been reflected in a generally unhappy reaction on social media.
