QPR want Amos – could there be a deal involving Eze?

QPR are interested in signing Luke Amos from Tottenham on a permanent deal.

West London Sport reports that Rangers are keen to take Amos back to Loftus Road and would be interested in another loan but would like to clinch his permanent transfer if a deal can be agreed with Spurs.

Amos has been on a season-long loan in west London and has often struggled for fitness and form during his time with the R’s.

But West London Sport say Rangers manager Mark Warburton believes the midfielder has huge potential and would like to keep him.

Amos, 23, moved to Loftus Road last summer after battling his way back to fitness following a cruciate injury.

He spent most of the season before on the sidelines, having suffered the injury in September 2018 – just weeks after making his first-team debut for Spurs.

That debut was given to him by former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, who was known to rate Amos highly.

It remains to be seen whether current Spurs boss Jose Mourinho has plans for Amos.

It also remains to be seen whether QPR’s interest in Amos affects the chances of Ebere Eze moving to Tottenham.

West Ham reportedly lead the race for Eze, who has been linked with several clubs, including Spurs.

Rangers wanting Amos is bound to lead to speculation that he could be part of a swap deal which sees Eze move to north London this summer.
