Manchester United could offer Anthony Martial to Tottenham as part of a deal for Harry Kane, according to The Athletic.
United and Manchester City have been linked with the England striker, as have Chelsea.
Martial has been out of favour under United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford.
And The Athletic suggest the Frenchman could be offered to Spurs in part-exchange for Kane, who has indicated that he wants to move on in order to win major trophies and play Champions League football.
But Daniel Levy has warned that Tottenham will not be prepared to let Kane leave for less than the asking price.
Chairman Levy recently told Spurs’ website: “I am never going to talk about any specific player in public. All I will say is his frustrations in not winning are shared by me and all the fans and players. We all want to win.”
Levy was speaking as the appointment of new director of football Fabio Paratici was confirmed.
He said: “One of the items that Fabio will have to deal with when he comes in is which players are going to be retained, which will be asked to look for other clubs.
“There is a market out there. What we want and what other clubs want is not always possible to achieve. We will do whatever is right for the club.”
