Man Utd looking to beat Tottenham to signing of Argentine midfielder, Mail say

Reports say Tottenham could face competition from Manchester United for the signing of Real Betis midfielder Giovani lo Celso.

Spurs were recently linked with the Argentina international, with reports in Spain suggesting that they had tabled an offer of just under £53m for him.

The Daily Mail reports that Spanish newspaper Marca claim that United and Real Madrid are both also interested in the player and that there could now be a bidding war.

The Mail also say Juventus are ready to appoint Maurizio Sarri after initially targeting Mauricio Pochettino.

Both men have been linked with the job since it was announced that Max Allegri is leaving Juve.

The Mail say Pochettino was initially targeted but is set to stay at Spurs – and that Sarri has now agreed personal terms.
Sarri, reportedly on a £5m-a-year contract at Chelsea, is said to have been offered £1.2m-a-year more by Juve.

It comes amid reports that Sarri could be on his way out of Chelsea after Wednesday night’s Europa League final against Arsenal in Baku.

Sarri has said that he wants to stay at Stamford Bridge – and that he would like to stay in England were he to leave Chelsea this summer.
