England drew 3-3 with Germany in the Nations League game at Wembley after being 2-0 down. Here’s how we rated England’s London contingent.
Reece James: 7
Decent on the right, setting up a chance for Jude Bellingham before the Chelsea man’s cross led to Luke Shaw scoring.
Eric Dier: 6
Solid enough at the heart of the defence. The Tottenham man was certainly more composed than the struggling Harry Maguire alongside him.
Declan Rice: 6
Worked hard but it was a tough night for the West Ham midfielder against a Germany side that was able to get between him and the England back line with ease at times, especially in the first half.
Raheem Sterling: 5
Poor. Missed a great chance when his tame shot was saved after he was put through by Shaw. Chelsea’s Sterling was taken off in the second half after a performance blighted by heavy touches and bad decisions on the ball. His night was summed up by a woefully over-hit pass to Phil Foden on the right-hand side in the first half.
Harry Kane: 7
The Spurs striker’s penalty – his 51st international goal – completed an amazing comeback. Prior to that he sent a volley wide, fired into the side netting on the turn and saw another effort deflected wide.
Bukayo Saka: 8
The Arsenal youngster made a brilliant impact after coming on, producing great skill to evade challenges and set up fellow substitute Mason Mount for the equaliser. Unable to take a late chance to make it 4-3 though.
Mason Mount: 8
Hasn’t been in great form for Chelsea or England of late, but Mount showed his quality with a cracking strike to haul his team level.
