Tottenham boss Antonio Conte says he is determined not to rush Dejan Kulusevski back from injury.
The Swede will remain sidelined for the game against Everton because of a hamstring problem.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, Conte said: “We have the same players as the last game. Deki is still not available. The rest of the players are OK.
“I think we need to have a bit of patience with him. Don’t take stupid risks.
“We have to play a lot of games from now until November and in this moment he is not 100% sure to be really fit and in perfect condition. It’s important to respect the opinion of the doctors on the player.”
And Conte admitted he is not yet sure whether Dejan Kulusevski will be able to return for the game against Manchester United as Spurs await the results of a scan.
“In this moment, honestly, it’s a bit difficult to answer yes or no,” Conte said.
“It depends on the new MRI he did today and about the work the doctors say about his situation. Also, the feeling of the player.
“I was a player and in this situation it’s important to respect the feeling of the player and that he feels ok 100%. Otherwise, it’s not good to take stupid risks.”
