Paper round-up: Tottenham reportedly looking to snap up Colombia star

Tottenham reportedly want to sign Colombia midfielder Wilmar Barrios.

The 25-year-old has been tipped to leave Argentine club Boca Juniors in January and reports have suggested he could be available for £16m.

The Daily Star Sunday say Spurs want him but would be unwilling to get involved in a bidding war with Real Madrid, who apparently also want the player.

Real continue to be linked with Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The Sunday Mirror claim Real president Florentino Perez wants caretaker manager Santiago Solari to stay in charge until next summer in the hope Pochettino will then be prised away from Spurs.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are the latest club to be linked with Aaron Ramsey.

The Wales midfielder is expected to leave Arsenal when his contract expires at the end of the season and he has been linked with various clubs.

They include Liverpool and Chelsea, although reports now claim Chelsea have had second thoughts about a move for him because of the form of Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The Sunday Express now say Liverpool remain keen on Ramsey but that he could be set for a surprise move to Germany.

West Ham are considering a loan move for Marseille’s former Fulham striker Kostas Mitroglou in January, the Mail on Sunday claim.

The Greece international was an expensive flop at Fulham but has since scored goals at Olympiacos and Benfica before being snapped up by Marseille.

The Mail on Sunday say West Ham are interested in Mitroglou and Red Bull Leipzig midfielder Diego Demme.

Chelsea want Sunderland’s teenage midfielder Bali Mumba, according to the Sun on Sunday.

Everton are keen on Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka in a move which could see former Charlton youngster Ademola Lookman move back to south London as part of the deal, The Sun on Sunday say.

And QPR director of football Les Ferdinand is set for talks with the FA over the role of technical director, according to the Mail on Sunday.
