BBC pundit Darren Fletcher reckons Arsenal could try to beat Everton to the signing of Andre Gomes.
Reports over the weekend suggested that Tottenham will try to snap up the Portugal international, who is on loan at Goodison Park from Barcelona.
The Telegraph reported that Spurs are willing to pay £30m in order to take Gomes to London.
And former Manchester United midfielder Fletcher believes Arsenal might also move for him after his outstanding performance against them on Sunday.
“He was unbelievable. He’s a big man and holds it up, uses his body well, but he’s got everything,” Fletcher said on Match of the Day 2.
“He receives the ball under pressure and he’s got size and can retain it. He’s also got a range of passing and is not afraid to work hard.
“That was probably the big question mark over him coming to the Premier League; was he going to be able to adapt to the demands and the physical nature of the Premier League. He has and he’s allowed his quality to excel.
“I’m sure there will be other teams looking at him. I’m sure Arsenal might fancy him.
“There will be other clubs looking at him, so if Everton want to get this done they’re going to have to do it quick and going to have to pay the money.”
