QPR look on course to complete the signing of former Tottenham youngster Nathan Oduwa.
West London Sport reported this week that Rangers are interested in signing winger Oduwa after a recent trial.
And West London Sport now reports that talks have begun with his representatives ahead of a possible move for the 22-year-old, who looks likely to join the ex-Spurs contingent at Loftus Road.
The likes of Grant Hall, Aramide Oteh, Chris Paul and Charlie Owens have signed for the R’s and several others have had trials there since being released by the north London club.
Oduwa left Olimpija Ljubljana in July, so is a free agent. He joined the Slovenian club after being released by Spurs last year.
Although Oduwa did not make a senior appearance for Tottenham he did play first-team football during loan spells at Glasgow Rangers, Luton, Peterborough and Colchester.
He is well known to QPR technical director Chris Ramsey, who previously coached at Tottenham.
Oduwa represented England at youth level but has since played for Nigeria’s Under-23 side.
West London Sport also reports that former Tottenham defender Sebastien Bassong is still training with QPR while he searches for a new club and that Rangers manager Steve McClaren currently has no plans to sign him.
Bassong, without a club since leaving Norwich last year, has featured in recent Under-23 games for QPR but his future seemingly lies elsewhere.
