Paper round-up: Real Madrid man reportedly rejects Spurs move

Real Madrid playmaker Marco Asensio has snubbed a potential move to Tottenham, reports claim.

The Daily Mirror have picked up on a story in Spanish newspaper Marca, which claimed that Alensio is a target for Spurs but has rejected an initial approach by the club.

The 22-year-old is said to be keen to stay in Spain despite reports that Real would listen to offers for him.

Meanwhile, The Sun claim Spurs are among several clubs keen to sign Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Barcelona and are also said to be tracking Ndombele ahead of a possible January move.

The Sun also say Arsenal are targeting a £10m deal for Real Valladolid defender Fernando Calero.

Crystal Palace want to take former England striker Jermain Defoe on loan from Bournemouth next month, again according to The Sun.

And Chelsea continue to be linked with Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez.

The Daily Mirror say former Manchester City youngster Suarez would cost the Blues £15m and is being considered as a possible replacement for Cesc Fabregas, whose Chelsea future is in doubt.

Ex-Arsenal star Fabregas’ contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the season and he has been linked with several clubs, including AC Milan.
