Paper round-up: Spurs favourites for Grealish despite Liverpool talks

Liverpool have expressed an interest in Jack Grealish, the Sunday Mirror say.

It follows reports that Tottenham are set to sign the Aston Villa midfielder for a knockdown price partly because Liverpool had chosen not to make a bid.

The Sunday Mirror say Liverpool have now held talks Aston Villa over Grealish but that Tottenham remain favourites to sign him.

Villa’s initial asking price, reportedly £40m, is said to have been drastically reduced.

Reports suggest Spurs are only willing to offer £15m. The Sunday Mirror say Villa hope Liverpool’s apparent interest could spark a bidding war.

Meanwhile, Harry Kane would be worth more than £200m because the new Spurs contract he signed does not include a release clause, according to The Sun on Sunday.

The Sun on Sunday also say Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino could be interested in signing Yerry Mina on loan but might not be able to meet the condition that the defender plays regularly.

The story claims that Barcelona will offer the Colombia international to Premier League clubs but on the understanding that he will get first-team action.

The Sunday Mirror say West Ham will finalise the signing of Jack Wilshere on Monday.

The out-of-contract midfielder is moving on a free transfer after leaving Arsenal.

Manchester United are confident of signing Willian from Chelsea now Brazil are out of the World Cup, The Sun on Sunday claim.

Chelsea’s David Luiz has laughed off reports linking him with Porto, The Sun on Sunday reports.

And the Sunday Express claim Lyon have told Chelsea that Tanguy Ndombele is not for sale after the Blues made an enquiry about the midfielder.
