There continues to be speculation over the future of Tottenham midfielder Chrtistian Eriksen.

The Dane is in the final year of his contract and has shown no sign of signing a new deal.

There have been reports that he could yet leave Spurs this summer, with the European transfer window not due to close until 2 September.

And The Sun on Sunday declare Real Madrid will “make a late £60million bid” for Eriksen and that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is now under “huge pressure” to do business.

However, the Sunday Mirror, on the other hand, say there has been no interest in Eriksen and that Spurs are baffled by his refusal to sign a new deal.

He has been linked with several top clubs, with the likes of Paris St-Germain said to be rivalling Real for his signature.

But the Sunday Mirror now say there has been no sign of any offers for Eriksen and that the club do not understand why he won’t sign an improved contract.

Mauricio Pochettino has said that he does not know if Eriksen will still be a Tottenham player after the European window closes.

“I don’t know,” was the Spurs manager’s reply when asked at a recent press conference if he expects Eriksen to stay.

“My point is to help all of the players. My job is to support them all until they maybe decide to take a different way in their career,” Pochettino added.
