Jack Grealish is ready to leave Aston Villa and expects Tottenham to make a move for him, according to the Daily Mirror.
The midfielder has been widely tipped to leave Villa, who face financial problems after being beaten by Fulham in the Championship play-off final, missing out on a return to the top flight.
West London Sport have since reported that Fulham are among clubs keen on Grealish, who was outstanding for Villa last season.
Tottenham have long been linked with him, as have a number of other clubs, including West Ham.
The Mirror say Spurs “are firmly leading the race” to snap up Grealish this summer and that he expects them to come in for him.
The Mirror also say West Ham are monitoring the situation but that Liverpool, who have also been linked with Grealish, are not expected to table a bid.
It is claimed that Grealish is in line for a bumper five-year deal at Spurs and a massive increase in wages – he currently earns a reported £20,000 a week at Villa.
The Mirror say Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino wants Grealish to compete with England star Dele Alli for a place in the Spurs side next season.
