Kevin Wimmer’s agent Mithat Halis says Tottenham have rejected a number of offers for the Austrian defender.
Halis told ESPN that several clubs – including Premier League clubs – have approached Spurs about Wimmer and have been told that he is not for sale.
The 24-year-old’s former side Cologne are among those said to be interested in signing him.
“Cologne made an offer. There have been a few offers from the Premier League and the Bundesliga,” Halis said.
“There is a lot of interest. Tottenham do not want to sell. All offers have been turned down and he is staying.”
Wimmer has started just 12 Premier League matches for Tottenham since his arrival at White Hart Lane from Cologne in the summer of 2015.
However, he looks likely to play a bigger role now Jan Vertonghen is facing a significant spell on the sidelines.
Vertonghen is expected to be unavailable for at least a couple of months after suffering an ankle injury during Spurs’ 4-0 win against West Bromwich Albion at the weekend.
The Belgian was in clear distress as he was helped from the pitch – and a scan has subsequently confirmed that he sustained ligament damage.
Tottenham, currently second in the table, face Manchester City on Saturday.
