Gareth Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett has insisted there is no chance at all of the player returning to Tottenham.
The Wales star has been linked with a move back to Spurs from Real Madrid, where he has been booed by fans in recent weeks.
Manchester United have also been tipped to move for Bale this summer, but Barnett told Talksport the wide-man has no desire to leave Real.
Asked if Spurs or United fans could have any hope that their club might snap up Bale, Barnett simply replied: “No”.
Bale has three years remaining on his contract and Barnett said: “As it stands at the moment he’ll see it out – hopefully he’ll get a new contract and play a bit longer.”
Bale has attracted criticism for his performances this season and jeers from fans have led to reports that he could be on his way back to the Premier League.
“I watch what Gareth has achieved, I see he loves Real Madrid, and unfortunately disgusting press has probably affected the fans,” Barnett said.
“The press have a lot to be sorry for. In general he has been great for the club. For the fans to boo him is absolutely disgraceful.”
