Youngster announces he is leaving QPR

Youngster Gianni Crichlow has posted on Twitter announcing his departure from Queens Park Rangers.

The 18-year-old winger’s contract expires this summer and he has not been offered a new deal at Loftus Road.

Crichlow, who has been on Rangers’ books since the age of 10, has not made a first-team appearance.

He recently joined National League club Torquay United on a work experience loan but did not feature for the Gulls before returning to west London sooner than expected.

Jamie Mackie and Karl Henry are the only senior players whose QPR contracts expire this summer.

Popular forward Mackie is discussing a new deal with the club, having been offered reduced wages because of Rangers’ financial position.

Henry fell out of favour with manager Ian Holloway and will be released by the club.

The 34-year-old midfielder, who joined the R’s in 2013, has not played since the defeat against his former side Wolves in December.
