Harry Redknapp reckons says QPR should look to take Reece Oxford on loan from West Ham.
Rangers have slumped to 19th in the Championship table and the initial feel-good factor following Ian Holloway’s return has vanished.
Since winning the first game of Holloway’s second reign as manager at Loftus Road, Rangers have lost five in a row.
And Redknapp, who has managed West Ham and the R’s, told Talksport he believes 18-year-old defender Oxford would be the ideal loan signing for Holloway.
“I think they’ve got to look at the loan system,” Redknapp said.
“You look at Bournemouth, they took the boy from Chelsea, [Nathan] Ake – he’s been outstanding. There’s players around, surely.
“You look at Chelsea, they’ve got some fantastic young players who never get the opportunity to play there. Go and see if you can get one or two of them in.
“Maybe West Ham have got one or two. Reece Oxford, the centre-half, he looks fantastic. He’d be a great loan signing.
“That’s really the market they need to look into if they can.”
Following back-to-back home defeats, against in-form Derby and Aston Villa, Rangers’ next match is another tough one – away to title-chasing Brighton on 27 December.
