Rangers consider move for Arsenal youngster

Arsenal youngster Tyrell Robinson could be set for a move to QPR.

West London Sport report that Rangers are giving a trial to the 19-year-old and that he played for their development side on Monday.

The versatile Robinson, who can play as a winger or full-back, had a trial at West Brom earlier this season and appears to be available for a move from the Emirates Stadium.

He scored for QPR’s Under-23 team in a 2-1 win against Watford at the west London club’s Harlington training ground, where Jamie Mackie returned to action.

Mackie played 65 minutes – his first outing of the season.

The Scotland forward missed much of last term with hamstring trouble and suffered ankle ligament damage in training in July.

His return would boost Ian Holloway’s attacking options, although the Rangers manager has insisted that he is already happy with the forwards at his disposal.

Conor Washington and Sebastian Polter have not scored since the R’s began Holloway’s second spell in charge with a win at home to Norwich. Three defeats in a row have followed.

But Holloway told West London Sport: “I’ve got three or four wonderful strikers at this club.

“I’ve got to get them believing in themselves, playing the way I want and I know they’ll score.

“Conor has already scored, Seb Polter was injured last week and has still gone out (against Rotherham) for me.”
