QPR look set to finalise a deal to keep Charlie Austin at the club.
Austin returned for a second spell at Loftus Road when he moved on loan from West Brom in January.
He scored eight goals during his loan spell and fans are desperate for him to stay with the R’s.
West London Sport recently reported that QPR were getting closer to a deal for Austin and were on the verge of signing Sam Field, who was also on loan from West Brom.
And with Field having since been confirmed on a three-year contract, it looks likely that Austin will now follow.
Field, 23, made it clear he wanted to join Mark Warburton’s side on a permanent basis, so was delighted to get the deal done.
He told Rangers’ website: “Sometimes you feel that chapters are up in your life and West Brom has been absolutely brilliant for me. But I felt it was the right time to move on for good now. I had a feeling in January that if I could get this move right, I could stay here.
“I’ve settled in really quickly and really enjoyed it, too. So I was desperate to get this move completed as a result.
“Just being able to play football meant the world to me and I feel I’ve still got a lot more to offer now that I have that confidence from playing a run of games.”
