QPR look set for a busy couple of days ahead of the transfer deadline as Ian Holloway looks to improve his squad.
West London Sport report that Rangers are set to finally complete the signing of Luke Freeman from Bristol City and are interested in Fulham striker Matt Smith, and that Oxford United are interested in signing Nasser El Khayati on loan.
Rangers recently had an offer rejected for Freeman, whose contract at Ashton Gate is due to expire at the end of the season.
But the 24-year-old told City he wanted to leave and did not want to play in their FA Cup match at Burnley on Saturday.
Rangers therefore went back in with an improved offer and Freeman is due to undergo a medical at Loftus Road ahead of a move to west London.
Freeman’s arrival will push El Khayati even further down the pecking order at Rangers.
The Dutchman could end the season elsewhere after Oxford expressed an interest.
And target man Smith, 27, is among the alternatives Rangers might target if they are unable to persuade Rotherham to sell Danny Ward.
Boss Holloway is keen to sign Ward but the Millers have turned down offers for the former Huddersfield forward.
