QPR line up double signing as defender looks set to leave

QPR are lining up George Cox and Moses Odubajo for the left-back and right-back slots next season.

Talksport have reported that Odubajo is on Rangers’ radar ahead of a possible return to west London for the former Brentford man.

West London Sport say Odubajo has been invited for pre-season training with the R’s – and that the club are looking to sign left-back Cox (pictured) from Fortuna Sittard.

Cox, 23, has two years remaining on his contract at the Dutch side, who signed him from Brighton last year after he impressed during a season-long loan.

He has continued to perform well in Holland and Rangers manager Mark Warburton is keen to bring him back to England.

Odubajo, who played under Warburton at Brentford, is a free agent after recently being released by Sheffield Wednesday.

West London Sport say the 27-year-old will be signed to replace Todd Kane, who is seemingly out of favour, if Odubajo can prove his fitness during pre-season.

He made just 18 league appearances for Wednesday last season, the most recent of which was on 1 January, and has previously been troubled by knee problems.

Odubajo made a total of 46 appearances in all competitions during his two-year spell at Hillsborough.
