QPR have added youngsters Charlie Owens and Giles Phillips to their squad for Sunday’s trip to face Leeds United.
The duo could be set to join the list of young players to have been given a chance in the Rangers first team this season.
Phillips, who has been handed squad number 25, is an American centre-back who was signed by the R’s last summer.
He played for the first team during pre-season and has made 21 appearances for QPR’s development side this term.
Midfielder Owens, who has been allocated the number 35 shirt, was signed last year after being released by Tottenham.
They are among several youngsters to have been offered new one-year contracts this week.
The other players to be offered new deals are Aramide Oteh, Ody Alfa, Marcin Brzozowski, Hugo Cardoso, Deshane Dalling, Seny Dieng, Charlie Fox, Chay Tilt, Jack Williams and Osman Kakay.
But the club are releasing Chris Paul, Zenon Stylianides, Brandon Adams, Romeo Akinola, Alex Finney, Conor Hudnott and Joshua Wallen.
Technical director Chris Ramsey told Rangers’ website: “We would like to thank each and every one of these players for their efforts during their time with the club.
“These decisions are never easy but what’s most important to us is that the process is done in the correct way, and the players’ well-being is at the forefront of our approach.
“As a club, our responsibility towards these individuals doesn’t end here and we will be working with them as best we can to help them with their next steps.”
