QPR have been in excellent form of late but will be without a number of key players for Saturday’s home game against Reading.
Angel Rangel is still out with a thigh injury, while on-loan duo Geoff Cameron and Tomer Hemed also remain sidelined.
Cameron suffered ankle ligament damage during the recent game against Leeds, while striker Hemed has had a hernia operation and will be unavailable for several more weeks.
And in another blow for Rangers, Massimo Luongo is now also unavailable as he has flown out to play for Australia in the Asian Cup.
West London Sport have reported that Jordan Cousins is set to replace Luongo – and has been challenged by Steve McClaren to step up to the plate in his absence.
Reading have struggled this season but Rangers boss McClaren has warned that his side can expect a tough game.
“This Reading team is a completely different animal to what it was two or three weeks ago and we are going to have to be ready for that,” McClaren told QPR’s website.
“We need to make sure we do our jobs, prepare right and try as hard as possible to get a performance which will win the game.”
