QPR could be set to sign youngsters Tyler Brown and Stephen Duke-McKenna from Crystal Palace and Bolton respectively.
West London Sport reported on Monday morning that Duke-McKenna was joining the R’s on trial.
And the Liverpool-born midfielder later featured for Rangers’ development side in a match against Sheffield Wednesday – who won 2-0 – along with Brown.
Defender Brown, 19, was at Barnet before joining Palace and could now be heading to West London.
Duke-McKenna, 18, has played international football for Guyana. He was at Everton before joining Bolton last year.
Meanwhile, caretaker boss John Eustace has insisted that there is no prospect of him being given the QPR manager’s job despite Saturday’s 4-0 win over Swansea.
“I took over for as long as it takes for them to find a new manager,” he said.
“I haven’t applied. Les (Ferdinand) asked me to help the club until they find somebody and that’s what I’m doing.
“I’m happy in the role and there are no problems there. All I’m thinking about is preparing the lads for Friday.”
“We’ll get the lads rested over the next couple of days and if I’m still here on Tuesday then we’ll be preparing properly for the game on Friday.
