Geoff Cameron faces a race against time to be fit for QPR’s game at Blackburn on Saturday.
West London Sport reported on Wednesday that Cameron’s chances of being available for the game at Ewood Park are rated at 50-50.
He went off with a hamstring strain during Friday’s 1-0 victory against Aston Villa at Loftus Road – Rangers’ third win in a row.
Cameron has played a key role in Rangers’ five-match unbeaten run along with fellow recent loan signings Tomer Hemed and Nahki Wells.
It has been quite a turnaround for the west London side since they lost their first four league games under Steve McClaren.
“I’ve got to say that we made the signings but the players, always from day one, were on board,” manager McClaren said after the Villa game.
“There was a great spirit in the dressing room even when we were losing games.
“What we did was we stuck together. Many, many people doubted us. The main thing is that we never really doubted ourselves and we’re OK and going forward.
“But there’s a long way. This is the Championship, where yes we’re on a good run but lots of other teams take it in turns to go on good runs.”
