QPR chief says club won’t sign Nahki Wells, Tomer Hemed or Geoff Cameron

Lee Hoos has all but ruled out QPR signing Nahki Wells, Tomer Hemed or Geoff Cameron on a permanent basis.

Striker Wells, on loan from Burnley, has made a big impact in west London since his arrival at Loftus Road.

On-loan Brighton striker Hemed also made an impact before getting injured, as did midfielder Cameron, who is on loan from Stoke City.

Many fans would like to see them stay at the club, but Rangers chief executive Hoos does not believe that is likely to happen.

Hoos told Football.London: “You never say never, but the likelihood is that they’ll go back to their parent clubs.

“I’m sure their clubs will have their own ideas on what to do with those players as well, so we just have to see how that goes.

“One of the good things about doing a loan is that you’re not committed. Instead of having a level of salary over three years, you only have it for one year and so you can manage it on a year by year basis.”

Hemed recently returned to action following a hernia operation and QPR are hopeful that Cameron, who has been out with an ankle injury, will also soon be available as well.
