Les Ferdinand is hopeful QPR will be able to further add to their squad ahead of the transfer deadline.
Rangers have brought in winger Lazenga LuaLua on loan from Brighton and are close to completing the signing of midfielder Sean Goss from Manchester United.
The club are also keen to sign at least one forward, while Bristol City winger Luke Freeman is another transfer target but Rangers have been unable to agree a fee.
However, director of football Ferdinand is optimistic that deals will be done in the coming days.
“It’s no secret we’re trying to do a few bits and pieces,” Ferdinand told the Evening Standard.
“But I find January transfer window a very difficult window to do business in.
“People don’t want to let their best players go. We’re trying to do what we can and hopefully we can get one or two in.”
Rangers would need to complete the signing of Goss, 21, by midday on Friday for him to be available for this weekend’s home match against Burton Albion.
West London Sport have reported that Goss is close to signing but that the deal is unlikely to be completed in time for him to be available for the Burton game.
