QPR boss Steve McClaren is hoping to make two more signings – and believes Grant Hall would be as good as a third.
Hall returned to action in a behind-closed doors friendly against Swindon on Tuesday afternoon.
It was a further boost for McClaren after being assured by the club’s owners that new faces are on the way.
McClaren told West London Sport: “We want to bring players in, they’ve said that’s OK. We’ve got to work within a certain budget, but we’ll do that.
“I think we just need to add two or three quality players, of which one I hope will be Grant Hall. He would be like a new signing if he does come in.”
Hall played the first 45 minutes of the game at Rangers’ Harlington training ground.
It was his first match action for seven months – the R’s defender missed most of last season because of knee trouble.
QPR won the game 3-2 courtesy of goals from David Wheeler, Paul Smyth and Idrissa Sylla.
Wheeler recently returned to action having also missed much of last season.
In Wheeler’s case a back problem kept him sidelined for the second half of the campaign.
